cheap fare guru Complaint
Deceptive Manager tried to trick me into confirmation - Airline Ticket
Later this reservation no longer appeared however it could be acquired as two separate reservations
I called cheapfareguru support line and explained the situation and asked if the two reservation could be combined into a single reservation. I was assured that it could be done - all I needed to do was order the tickets %u2013 then call to combine them.
On July 31, 2014 I went online and made the two reservations. I then called support. While I was on the phone with one agent trying to get the tickets combined into one reservation, I received a call from Rodney Cruz attempting confirm the reservations %u2013 he was having me check my email for the confirmation message. Then I mentioned the issue about trying to merge the two reservations while waiting for the second email to arrive. He asked if I knew who the agent was how had indicated this was possible. I told him no I did not.(even though he knew by this time that I needed to merge these two tickets). As we were speaking I confirmed this first message.
When the second message arrived he tried to rush me to respond to it.
He had raised a red flag with the specific questions he asked so I told him I would email the second confirmation as soon I was able to confirm the merge of reservations. I then hung up and called the support line.
The support person told me that the reservation could not be merged because it was with to different airlines. I asked how they sold single reservations with multiple airlines on there site? I received no response. I asked to speak to a manager. A new person came online and I explained the problem. The manager asked if I knew the name of the agent who said it could be done. I told them no. The manager indicated that there were 200 agents taking calls and that they needed to know who gave me this type of information. He indicated that the only way to get a single reservation that would insure against flight interruption on the airlines part would cost me $1567 (additional $158). It became clear that no resolution would be coming. I asked to speak to a higher manager. This manager indicated that he was the overall manager. I asked for his name %u2013 at this time he indicated that it was Rodney Cruz. I was a bit shocked %u2013 this is the same person who knew I had an issue and tried to get me to send the second confirmation before it was resolved. I told him I wished to cancel all transactions. He indicated that could be done but that fees for all of the tickets. I indicated that only one had been confirmed. Then he tried to say that the Asiana flight could not be canceled. I asked for his direct number %u2013 he refused (my information is on the email). I contacted my Credit card company immediately and informed them of the situation letting them know my desire to contest. I also left a Complaint Message with Bookingbuddy.
