I booked a ticket from DC to Atlanta and the charge was $388. An hour later, the agency called me and told me that the AirTran airline is modifying the ticket price and will now cost $489 ($450 for the ticket and the rest is agency fee). I believe them and bought the ticket. When I checked in at the airline, the receipt that AirTran charge CheapFareGuru is only $339.40. CheapFareGuru actually lied to me about AirTran's price change.
When I called them to complain, the agent does not care, and I told her that I will file a complain with BBB and AirTran, etc. All she said is go ahead if you have nothing else better to do. According to her, no matter where I complain, it will not matter, I am not going to get the difference in price back.

The same thing happened to me when I booked a flight from LAX to LON. An agent called me and said the airline (Virgin Atlantic) did not have any seats at this price but for $62 more I could book it.
When I got my flight info the extra amount was there as an "ARC fee". ARC is a service that allows travel agents to conduct credit card transactions. So the agent lied... I went to VA website a week later and they still had tickets at the original price.

The price must have changed and when one thing changes it has the same effect on the other. Meaning when the price has changed the fee also changes. In 100% cases the fl price gives an error. We are here to sell you tickets and try our best to sell it to you at the price you want it at, but if that is not available then we have no choice but to give you next price. And do you really thing the clothes you buy in the store cost $20 they do not they cost about $5 so why dont you complain to all the department stores in the world.

This is not a good way to conduct business. That is not a professional business method to reply. Now I am very nervous about doing any business with them.
